Soled Out! is my story. Hand Dyed Shoe Co. doesn't exist today for the purpose of wealth or growth. Its greatest success is the message it delivers to my two girls, Daisy & Penny. It exists through resilience, perseverance, and determination.

 

When the company collapsed in 2021 on the back of the Covid pandemic, the easiest option was to quit. I was advised to go out, get a job and forget about the brand.

 

What kept me going was the thought that if I did that, the rest of my life I would have lived with the consequences of quitting... feeling unfulfilled and stuck in the monotony of employment when once upon a time, I had it all at my feet, quite literally.

 

Simply put, it had to survive. I had to survive. And this is how I did it.

 

This is the story of how I got here, why I got here, and what it took for you to be reading this very sentence.
